Isolated Incidents:
The Distillery Gallery continues its focus on talented Boston area artists with "Isolated Incidents," a multi-media exhibit featuring sculpture, drawing, painting, and collage by Michael Mullaney, Nicole Seisler, and Dennis Svoronos. This show will present three distinctly different bodies of work, connected merely by immersion in the artistic process and the integration into the unique exhibit space the Distillery Gallery has to offer. Each artist will adapt to the unconventional gallery, and to each other's work, to bring together their respective isolated incidents of art making.
Michael Mullaney creates paintings from recycled drawings, scribbled notes, and washes of color, which form personal universes for exploration. Nicole Seisler transforms cast remnants of her own body into reptilian creatures that quietly invade their surroundings. Dennis Svoronos builds bright sculptures that dissect Americans’ interpretations of the holiday season. The three will occupy the gallery with their creations for six weeks, allowing the artwork to adjust to and elaborate on the already unique display space.
